a. Categories of Personal Information that We Collect 

Depending on how you choose to interact with us, we may collect the following information: 

  • Contact data: such as your billing address, email address and telephone number and any other data that would enable us to maintain our business relationship with you. 
  • Identity data: such as your first name, middle names, maiden name, last name, marital status, title, date of birth, passport number, photographic identification, gender, company/employer details, and job title; 
  • Marketing and communications data: your marketing and communication preferences. We also track when you receive and read marketing communications from us and which of our events you attend, and we use this information to improve our marketing services, provide you with more relevant information, and improve the quality of our marketing material; 
  • Profile data: your usernames, your interests, and feedback;  
  • Recruitment data: normally includes your contact data, identity data and other information which may potentially be used to identify you as an individual, such as your education, employment history and professional qualifications. Depending on the information you submit with your recruitment application, recruitment data could also include certain special categories of personal data, such as information regarding your health, religion, or information regarding your marital status; 
  • Technical data: information collected when you access our Site, including your internet protocol (IP) address, your internet service provider’s domain name, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you are using; and 
  • Usage data: information about your use of our Site (including which pages you have accessed and when), our local area networking facilities (including WiFi), and similar electronic services. 

b. Information that You Provide to Us Voluntarily 

If you choose to contact us, we will collect whatever information, including personal information, that you choose to provide us with. 

c. Information that We Collect Automatically When You Visit Our Site 

i. Logs 

Our Site automatically creates logs regarding user sessions that contain information about the features that you use, the actions that you take, and the information that you access. When your session ends, Calcarea only retains the information in a statistical and aggregated format (non-personal information) that we use for research purposes, assessing the effectiveness of our Site, and improving user experience.  

ii. Cookies 

Cookies are small pieces of information transferred to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your preferences and settings. Cookies collect information such as the type of search engine used, the sections of the Site visited, and other Calcarea usage information. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, and you may manually disable them. Calcarea may retain information from cookies in a statistical and aggregated format (non-personal information) for research purposes, assessing the effectiveness of our Site, and improving user experience.  

iii. Analytics 

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies to help us analyze how visitors use our Site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of Calcarea’s Site is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the U.S. Google will use this information for evaluating your use of Calcarea’s Site, compiling reports on the website activity, and providing us with other analytics relating to Calcarea’s Site and internet use. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

4. Calcarea’s Information Sharing and Disclosure 

a. Information Shared in Order to Provide our Site 

We may share your personal information to the extent necessary to provide the Site. This includes, but is not limited to, updating, securing, and troubleshooting, as well as providing support.  

b. Information Shared with Our Service Providers 

We may engage third-party service providers to work with us to administer and support our business. Examples include hosting our web servers, analyzing data, and providing customer service. 

c. When Necessary to Comply with Laws and Law Enforcement Requests or Otherwise to Protect Calcarea, Its Clients, and Individuals 

We may disclose your information (including your personal information) to a third party if:

  • To protect the security or integrity of Calcarea products and Site;

e. Sharing Aggregate, Anonymized, Deidentified, or Otherwise Non-Personal Data  

We may share personal information that has been aggregated, deidentified, or otherwise anonymized and thus does not directly or indirectly identify you and that cannot, with reasonable efforts, resources, and technologies, be used to reidentify you. Such aggregated, anonymized, deidentified, or otherwise not re-identifiable information is not personal information within the scope of this Privacy Statement.

Calcarea uses reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures designed to protect your personal information. However, please note that no data transmission over the internet or data storage system is absolutely secure and we therefore cannot guarantee the security of the personal information that we process. 

6. Data Retention 

Calcarea retains information only as long as necessary to accomplish the business purpose for which it was collected and to comply with its legal and contractual obligations. 

7. Children’s Privacy 

Our Site are not directed to nor intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits Site users who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. However, please note that we do not make any such disclosures.

Calcarea may change and update this Privacy Statement from time to time, including materially changing the use made of personal information described herein.
